Two years ago I did a blog post that proclaimed President Obama our “first gay president.” A few bloggers of the homosexual variety, failing to see my humor (though to be fair a LOT of people fail to see any of my humor regardless of their sexual orientation), railed that I was being offensive, off base, stupid and other insults normally reserved for use by members of my close family. Even the news site FARK took notice! And even after I did a follow up post proclaiming President Bush as gay as well few failed to see I was not taking any of this as seriously as they were.
Now satire becomes reality as Newsweek, some sort of paper magazine that comes out once a week and is read by tens of people, proclaims President Obama as “The First Gay President.”
And in case everyone isn’t offended by that Newsweek includes a picture of the newly outed President with a rainbow halo over his head. You know because Barack Obama is just like Jesus in their eyes.
